“Machete amola’o” es una obra que, desde la experiencia cuasi biográfica del autor, nos encanta con el paisaje histórico de La República Dominicana del siglo XX. La autoctonía reflejada en esta obra, desde un incipiente poblado, de nombre “Navarrete” hasta las aceras “postmodernas” de Los Estados Unidos, pone de manifiesto una vorágine de elementos dignos de ser consumidos desde la voraz lectura acompañada de los ojos de la imaginación recreativa y contemplativa. Sin dudas, no debe haber un dominicano que, al enfrascarse en la tarea de leer estas páginas salpicadas de una tinta cónsona, desde la pluma de su autor, el Ing. Ramón Núñez Almonte que, con sobrado conocimiento de causa, nos enrostra la realidad de una patria convulsa, particular y heroica. Hace más de diez años que escribí esta larga indagación sobre el devenir de los principales grupos humanos que han constituido la nación dominicana en el ámbito de la isla de Ayitì o La Española. Esta indagación a partir del concepto de la Trinidad Divina con que Juan Pablo Duarte encabezó el juramento de la sociedad fundada para promover la independencia del dominio haitiano. Es sabido que los números constituyen un plano de la realidad, una prefiguración de lo existente, un mundo constituido entre la ideación original y la realidad física. En el caso que nos ocupa al aura de significados englobados por el número tres (armonía, equilibrio), se une el matiz teológico añadido por el concepto Trinidad, un concepto eminentemente religioso que se encuentra, contrario a lo que podría pensarse, en otras religiones más allá del cristianismo de donde la tomó el fundador de la república. Por tanto estas indagaciones, conjuntamente con el aspecto social y político, se han ido principalmente por la cuestión religiosa donde precisamente, con el transcurrir del tiempo y los avatares humanos, se ha constituido uno de los espacios de equilibrio y armonía entre las visiones de las tres culturas que nos constituyen, ese espacio es la religión popular dominicana, también llamada Culto a la 21 División.
